Dr. Paresh U. Poriya, 

Assistant Professor of Zoology, Government Science College, Veraval Dist.- Gir Somnath, Gujarat. 

I have completed M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Zoology from The Department of Biosciences, Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Served as Faculty in The Department of Marine Science, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji, Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar.  I am working in the field of Marine Ecology since 2008 and authored and co-authored two book chapters and more than 35 national and international publications in various reputed journals including Scientific Reports– the journal of Nature Publishing Group. Also served as member of organizing committee in national and international conferences and workshop. I have delivered various expert talk in symposia, seminars and workshop including “Indo-German Biodiversity Programme: Conservation and Sustainable Management of existing & potential & Coastal Marine Protected Areas India (CMPA). I also participating as a volunteer in various activities such as state wide waterfowl census, Blackbuck census, Harrier census, Coastal clean-up program, Mangrove plantation, wildlife awareness program etc. organized by the Regional Forest Department.
